A new year has begun, bringing fresh opportunities and plenty of ideas to explore. Looking back at 2024, I can see how much I’ve learned and grown as an artist—it wasn’t always easy, but every challenge helped shape my journey. Now, I’m ready to step into 2025 with renewed energy and exciting plans ahead!
Recent Artwork
December gave me the chance to work in both traditional and digital mediums, which doesn’t happen as often as I’d like. Digital illustration, in particular, had been set aside for a while—until my collaboration with Clip Studio Paint gave me a reason to dive back in. For this project, I created a more detailed illustration with an environment and atmosphere, which was a bit out of my comfort zone since I’ve been focusing on quicker pieces for social media lately. It felt great to challenge myself with something more complex, and I’m really proud of how it turned out.
2024’s Most Loved Art
Looking back on 2024, the artwork I felt resonated most with my followers was a single page from my sketchbook. It’s a simple piece, but the way it was received made it stand out to me. It’s always interesting to see which works capture the most attention!
Recent Videos
I’ve posted a few new videos on YouTube recently, including the tutorial in collaboration with Clip Studio Paint, where I took you through my digital illustration process.
I also started a new watercolor sketchbook in one of my recent videos—always a mix of excitement and pressure, right? I tried out the new Ohuhu Paper-friendly markers and was pleasantly surprised by how well they worked. Exploring new tools is always fun (even if it does make my art supply collection slightly terrifying).
2025 Goals
I’ve got a lot of goals for 2025! Some of which I can’t share just yet, but I can tell you about a few:
- Clothing line launch: I’m working on adding apparel to my shop featuring my illustrations—not just on paper and acrylic gadgets, but now on wearable art too!
- Artbook creation: Once my sketchbook has more finished pages, I plan to turn it into a complete artbook. It’s something I’ve been dreaming about for a while!
- Digital illustration comeback: I’ve upgraded to a new iPad Pro because I want to dedicate more time to digital illustration this year. I’m also planning to create content around it, including process videos to share my digital workflow.
- Exploring oil painting: I’ve been wanting to try my hand at oil paints for ages, and this year feels like the perfect time. I plan to study the medium, experiment with techniques, and (hopefully) create some vibrant, expressive paintings.
